Travel from Athens to Evia island : Limni

Way no1: (Fast and easy if you are coming from northern Greece). 

Through the National Road "Thessaloniki-Athens" up to Arkitsa port (151 km from Athens). From Arkitsa to Evia island : Edipsos by ferryboat (7 nautical miles - 40 minutes). From Edipsos in 20 minutes you will be in Limni.

You can use the public buses (K.T.E.L.) if you are coming from Athens , which departure from the station of Liosion Str. in the center of Athens, every day at: 06:45, 12:45, 14:45 plus some more during the high summer period, such as July, August and September.

WAY no2: (Beautiful landscapes, more driving). 

Through Halkida (capital city of Evia island) where you can see an unexplained phenomenon, if you cross the channel through the old bridge.
The water of Evripos Channel change direction every six hours and there are no satisfactory explanations for the phenomenon till now. From Athens, the best and fastest way is to cross the new bridge.

From Athens to Evia

The trip continues through an extremely beautiful combination forest - seaside and it lasts about 1 and a half hour to Limni, 2 hours to Edipsos. After Halkida, the first little town you are crossing through is ARTAKI.

Evia has been blessed with an incredible landscape that throbs with verdant forests, rivers, spa and ravines, infinite beaches and crystal waters. Here you can see images from the landscape you will meet from Artaki to Limni.
