Dafni is a beutiful little mountain-village, just 6 km from the town of Limni. The history of the village is parallel to the history of Kehries, it's brother-village. It should be noticed that in old times Dafni (Daphne) was called "Mantanika" originated from the word "mantani" probably meaning the high production.Its geographical data is as follows: 

The village is situated 77.5 Kilometers South-southeast (SSE) from the capital of the island CHALKIDA. Aproximatelly 350 people are living in Dafni, it has a one-teacher/6 classes school, a church, two taverns, one "kafenio" where the oldest are gathering in the afternoons and which can offer pleasent moments to visitors.  The sorroundings are like in a fairy-tale, beautiful mountain view, places for those, who want something more, than just lying on the sun for days.  Visitors may also find taxi and fuel stations throughout the day. Except the 6 minutes far away see-side, remarkable places for sports activities and recreation are available offering a wide variety of enjoyment to those who choose to spend their vacations there.

Traditional village house The house includes 5 bed and is fully equipped with towels,sheets etc.It is made of stone and the foundation was set in the 19th century. This is a place for you who want more of your holiday than just sunbathing. We believe that you value things like go hiking, discover the beatiful surroundings, play football or basketball and go swimming. You can go on peaceful walks and even find yourself an empty, private beach. Our house is situated in the middle of the small village that is inhabited mostly by farmers. We have a car and a motorcycle that can be rented with the house. It is located 170 kilometres from Athens and 77 km from Chalkida. Taxi from the village can be arranged to pick you up at the airport. The island is connected to the mainland by bridge.  We welcome you to a different but wonderful experience.
